Aim 4 : The promotion of democracy, sustainable development, fair trade, basic social services and health and safety, through solidarity and cooperation among member organisations, the international trade union movement and civil society.

To contribute to the establishment of greater equality, justice and environmentally sustainable development in a global society with the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU), TUAC and other Global Unions; to support a fair international financial and trading system that protects the rights and welfare of workers and their families.
