Project Summary:
Aims:
• Strengthen the organisations through recruitment of more members
• Increase level of understanding of trade unionism as well as the capacity of members and office bearers
• Improve overall communication within the organisation and negotiating capacity
Expected Results:
5,700 paying members by the end of 2012
Working Methods:
This is a low-cost and long-term project. The working method is based on partnership between the host organisations and co-operating organisation. The project is developed based on the needs of the host organisations and it is implemented by the host organisations themselves. If experts or resource persons outside the host organisations are used they most often come from the country, neighbouring countries or EI regional office. The methods have been developed so that the host organisations should be able to run the activities funded by own budgets when the project is phased out.
