Project Summary:
Aims:
- Promote solidarity.
- Develop strong democratic, independent and sustainable teachers' unions.
Expected Results:
- Well informed members.
- Improved administration and infrastructure.
- Improved finance.
- Good constitution and bylaws.
- Capable and democratic leadership.

- Multiple approaches and methods.

Number of Participants in this country: 30 - 100 participants on an average in the main activities
Target group: leaders and ordinary members both male and female
Gender Perspective: 33% reservation in each activity
Recent updates:
• Increased membership of the state affiliates by 20%-40%.
• Increased membership dues by 50%-90%.
• Active participation and involvement of the members in the union day to day activities.
• Increased participation of women in the union as well as training activities.
• Development of policies on EFA, HIV/AIDS, Professional Ethics, gender, etc.
• Democratic constitution and their implementation.
