Project Summary:
During 2008 STEG organised a national team of 78 teachers to coordinate training on HIV prevention. 400 participants were trained during a series of eight seminars held across Guatemala.
STEG carried out a survey on the knowledge of education workers on AIDS related themes. The union has also worked with the government on the design of the national curriculum, and does continuous advocacy work to promote the inclusion of sexual health education.
