Project Summary:
Aims:
Professional Development with a focus on quality education and delivery of English Language Arts, HIV/AIDS and Gender Equity awareness
Expected Results:
Approximately 100 teachers will receive Professional Development in English and text books will be revised
• Participants’ facilities in English will improve
• Participants’ abilities to teach English will improve
• Participants’ knowledge of and ability to offer instruction on HIV/AIDS and Gender issues will improve
• Participants’ loyalty to the union will increase
Working Methods:
In-service workshops for approximately 100 teachers each year with Canadian and local co-tutors
Number of Participants in this country: Approx. 500 teachers over 5 years
Target group: Members of FMESU
Gender Perspective: Integrated
