Project Summary:

Aims:
• Professional Development
• HIV/AIDS
• Gender Equality

Expected Results:
• Improved knowledge and skills of teachers, specifically in the area of sciences where few qualified teachers are available
• 30 teachers more motivated, more committed to FESEN and improved teaching skills
• 15 teachers at the pre-school and primary level received training in Math, EDUSIVIP and ACM/ACT
• 15 teachers at the secondary level received training in Sciences, Physics and Math
• 30 participants received training on gender equity, HIV and AIDS, group dynamics, child psychology, trade unionism, and computer skills for both groups

Working Methods:
• In-service training
• Workshops on HIV and AIDS
• Workshops on gender issues

Number of Participants in this country: 30 per year

Target group: primary and secondary teachers

Gender Perspective: Integrated in program
