Europe
Europe is an EI region that has witnessed many changes over the past few decades. Throughout the numerous political developments in this region, EI’s 139 member organizations situated in 45 European countries have worked together to deal with a wide variety of issues such as development cooperation, HIV/AIDS prevention, the promotion of gender equality, the fight against discrimination based on sexual orientation or identity. Many projects coordinated by the European region have been extended into the international work of EI, such as the harmonization process of the higher education and research sector and the issue of brain drain.
