EI policy statement on tuition fees (04 April 2013)
At its meeting last October, the EI Executive Board unanimously adopted a new policy statement on tuition fees.

Debated and amended by affiliates attending the 8th Education International Higher Education and Research Conference in Buenos Aires last September, the statement deplores attempts by many governments to privatize funding by shifting costs onto students.
Where tuition fees exist, the statement says, they should be kept as low as possible and progressively eliminated.
