Cambodia - Theme: Human and Trade Union Rights
Cambodia: Teacher strike postponed (03 July 2006)
EI affiliate the Cambodian Independent Teachers’ Association (CITA), and the Free Trade Union of Workers of the Kingdom of Cambodia (FTUWKC) is postponing the strike due to be held today, until further notice.

The postponement is due to a correspondence received from the Cambodian government requesting for more time and the opportunity to reflect on their demands.
Both CITA and FTUWKC state that they still hold the strike if we do not get positive responses for teachers and workers.
