Latest edition of EI’s Worlds of Education now online
The April issue of EI’s flagship magazine is packed full of articles from around the world of education.
It features the implications of the attacks on teachers and education unions across the USA, and documents the extraordinary solidarity that EI members around the world showed to the NEA and AFT unions, which mobilised tens of thousands of activists to defend quality public education.
Among others, the magazine features in-depth reports on the shortage of teachers in India; highlights the wave of democratic and teachers' union uprisings in Tunisia and the Arab region, as well as exploring an EI initiative to protect migrant teachers’ rights. The magazine gives readers useful information on how to participate in Global Action Week 2011, and shares ideas for activities used to celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day.
