International Federation of Journalists releases HIV and AIDS Guide

published 12 February 2007 updated 12 February 2007

The Asia-Pacific office of the IFJ has just released a user-friendly media guide and research study on the media's reporting of HIV and AIDS.

Aside from presenting its own research results on the international media’s coverage of HIV and AIDS, the publication provides useful information such as frequently asked questions, guidelines on the importance of getting the related terminology right and recommendations for journalists and trade unions reporting on HIV and AIDS. The report is available in five languages (English, French, Tamil, Khmer and Tagalog) and in five adapted versions (Global, Indian, African, Cambodian, Filipino).
