EI leaders tackle economic crisis, other pressing issues
Developing strategies to minimise the impact of the global economic crisis on teachers, teacher unions and the education sector worldwide will be one of the top-priority items on the agenda as leaders of Education International meet from 24-26 March in Brussels.
The 33rd meeting of the EI Executive Board will take place at the International Trade Union House, where the organisation’s head office is located. Among the other items to be discussed are:
• Plans for the 6th World Congress of EI • EI’s Annual Report 2008 • A new study on public-private partnerships in education • A declaration on schools as safe sanctuaries in times of war • A discussion paper for policy on inclusive education • A report from the taskforce on Early Childhood Education
