New Zealand: 2 new videos to explain primary education funding and salary
EI member organisation Te Riu Roa New Zealand Educational Institute (NZEI) has released two new videos for their members in the primary education sector.
Entitled "Primary teacher staffing demystified" and "Primary teacher salaries demystified", the two animated videos explain in clear and simple language how primary education staff is paid and how the sector is staffed and funded.
The union is currently in negotiations with the government over the pay of school support staff and is campaigning for gender pay equity for all teachers.
