Zülküf Güneş
General Secretary of EGITIM SEN (Education and Science Workers Union)
Born in 1983 in Diyarbakır, Zülküf Güneş graduated from the Faculty of Education at Kars Kafkas University in 2007. In 2008, he began his professional career as a science teacher in Mazıdağı, Mardin.
Between 2013 and 2020, he held various positions in the Diyarbakır branches of Eğitim Sen. In 2020–2021, he served as a member of the Central Auditing Board of Eğitim Sen. From 2021 to 2023, he was the Chair of Eğitim Sen Diyarbakır Branch No. 1.
In 2022–2023, he took part in the establishment of the Diyarbakır Urban Protection and Solidarity Platform—composed of 104 civil society, labor, professional, and rights organizations—and served as its spokesperson.
He is a member of the Ecology Association and the Human Rights Association. Married and a father of two, he has been serving as the General Secretary of Eğitim Sen since December 2023.
