Teacher Trade Unions meet in Georgia
EI has brought together representatives of the teacher unions from the non-EU countries in southeastern Europe to discuss the strengthening of their organisations and the kind of support which they would like to receive from EI.
Leaders from eleven teacher unions in eight countries are present at the conference which is taking place in Tibilisi on 27/28 May.
The conference is discussing trade union organisation and structures, human and trade union rights and building social dialogue. It is intended that the views of the unions will be taken into account in developing a programme of support for the development of the unions in the future.
