Worlds of Education: A special edition on human and trade union rights
The latest issue of EI’s flagship magazine Worlds of Education features a series of articles celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10th, and reasserting human and trade union rights of teachers and education workers everywhere.
The magazine includes an article on former teacher Martti Ahtisaari, the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize winner, and an interview with Brendan O’Malley, author of the study Education under Attack published by UNESCO, and a report on World Teachers’ Day activities around the world. This special issue also deplores the collapse of public education in Somalia and worsening working conditions for teachers and students in France and Italy.
