
Ann Mari Milo Lorentzen

Ann Mari Milo Lorentzen is the Vice President of Union of Education Norway (UEN), which represents more than 190,000 members from early childhood education to higher education.
She is trained as an early childhood education teacher.
Ann Mari Milo Lorentzen started her carrier as a pedagogical leader in an ECE institution. She was a workplace representative from 2009-2011, before becoming the main union representative of her region in 2011.
She was a member of Union of Education Norway’s local branch in Tromso from 2010-2015. In 2016 she was elected as a member of the national Executive Board and in 2024 she became the Vice President.
Lorentzen has chaired the UEN committee for Early Childhood Education and the Committee for Equality and Diversity. She is currently the leader of the negotiation committee for private ECE institutions.
She was elected to the Education International Executive Board in 2024, at the 10th World Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is the chair of the EI Status of Women Committee.
Lorentzen has a broad social commitment both nationally and internationally. She is dedicated to the fight for free public education for all and has worked extensively with equality and diversity issues. She is also very concerned about teachers' working conditions and the low number of applicants to ECE teachers training.
