            Strengthening the union and building capacity to introduce study circles.
         
    
            
            Objectives
            - Improve communication from the grassroots to the leadership and vice versa.
 - Mobilize members, inform them about union history and work.
 - Strengthen bonds and cooperation in the workplace.
 - Build strong, democratic unions from the ground up.
 
         
    
            
            Activities
            - Engage the leadership to understand the concept, draft a manual and select trainers.
 - Train a core group of trainers through theory and practice on the methodology and implementation.
 - Let the trainers go back and practice running a study circle and then come back to prepare them to train others.
 - Train local study circle leaders who can organise circles in the workplace.
 - Roll-out the program in all regions.
 
         
    
            
            Outcomes
            - Members understand and relate to their union in a stronger way.
 - Problems and challenges are identified and solved in the workplace or referred higher in the union.
 - Members open up about their challenges and support each other in a practical way.
 - The union becomes attractive and recruitment is easier.
