Roberto Baradel is a prominent Argentine trade union leader, teacher and lawyer, and one of the key figures of the education union movement and the struggle for social justice in Latin America.

He is Deputy General Secretary of the Confederation of Education Workers of the Argentine Republic (CTERA) and Education International Executive Board Member for Latin America.

Baradel is a tireless defender of labour rights, freedom of association, and the human right to a free, quality, public, secular education. He has led multiple mobilisations against the privatisation of education, job insecurity, and the violation of the rights of education workers. He defends the fundamental role of workers and school as a space for social inclusion.
