Activities

  • Leadership training manual and leadership handbook revised and printed.
  • 45 leadership trainers trained to equip ZATU leaders with relevant knowledge and skills.
  • 15 National Committee members trained on leadership topics.
  • Recruitments strategy has been developed.
  • 170 School Cluster visits conducted to recruit, service and inform members.
  • Advocacy Strategy developed with Education Stakeholders Coalition.
  • Research on courses and effects of poor mental health among especially female teachers conducted for evidence-based advocacy.
  • ZATU Strategic Plan reviewed to identify relevant project activities for 2027 to 2031.

Outcomes

  • Members are getting better services from ZATU as ZATU Leadership Training and Recruitment Strategy has been redesigned and updated to strengthen the internal leadership training and the School Cluster meeting activities.
  • The employer (from Ministry of Education to school level) has more knowledge and understanding of school and teacher issues as ZATU takes lead in Evidence-based Advocacy activities among Education Stakeholders skills of School Representatives.
