- Impact of privatization on education by examining and raising awareness about the consequences of privatization in education, highlighting potential disparities, lack of accountability, and the importance of maintaining a strong public education system.
- ‘Infrastructure and Facility Upgrades” by advocating for funding to improve school infrastructure, ensuring that all educational facilities provide a safe and conducive environment for learning.
- ‘Equitable Access to Resources”, ensuring that schools, regardless of location or demographic, have equal access to resources such as textbooks, technology, extracurricular activities, and educational support services.
- “Teacher Salaries and Work Conditions” By highlighting the importance of competitive and fair teacher salaries to attract and retain high-quality educators. Also by addressing issues related to working conditions, classroom resources, and support for teachers.
Objetivos
We would like to strengthen our union capacities regarding:
- “Advocacy & Lobbying Skills”. By training participants in the art of advocacy, teaching them how to effectively communicate their message to policymakers, community leaders, and the public.
- “Communication Skills”. By developing strong communication skills, public speaking, and effective use of written and visual content for various platforms.
- “Community Engagement & Mobilization”. By reinforcing skills in engaging and mobilizing communities. This includes organizing events, conducting outreach, and building grassroots support.
- “Negotiation & Bargaining Skills”. To strengthen participants' negotiation and bargaining skills, particularly when engaging with stakeholders such as policymakers, community leaders, and potential funders.
- “Data Collection & Analysis”. By training the participants in collecting/analyzing data related to education funding, helping them use evidence-based arguments to support the campaign's objectives.
Actividades
- Education Advocacy Workshops
Objective: Enhance participants' understanding of education funding issues and develop effective advocacy skills. State of public funding in education in Albania during the course of the last 10 years.
Possible Activities: Interactive workshops, guest speakers, case studies, and role-playing scenarios.
- Policy Analysis Workshops.
Objective: Strengthen participants' ability to analyze education policies critically.
Possible Activities: Training sessions on policy research, analysis, and the development of policy briefs.
- Community Forums on Education
Objective: Foster community engagement and gather input on education funding priorities.
Possible Activities: Organizing meetings, forums, or webinars.
- Social Media Training
Objective: Equip participants with the skills to leverage social media for advocacy and community engagement.
Possible activities: Training sessions on creating impactful content, utilizing hashtags, and engaging with online communities
