Description
Training to build capacity for the LAT leadership on, among other things, trade unionism, collective bargaining, labour relations, good governance, advocacy on relevant education policies and laws. The workshop was an intensive four-day training session targeting all one hundred and eight (108) leaders, and four staff members.
Objectifs
- To increase trade union knowledge for the LAT leadership to build a united, class-conscious and impactful teacher union in Lesotho.
- To strengthen the policy advocacy capacity of the LAT for an education system that effectively responds to the needs of the people of Lesotho.
- To strengthen governance capacity of the LAT at all leadership structures.
Activités
- Breakout sessions to facilitate more focused discussions.
- Interactive activities such as think-pair-share, presentations and role playing.
- Technology integration leveraging on such tools as Kahoot, and others.
- Clear communication entailing training objectives, expectations and outcomes.

Résultats
Designed to build the capacity of the LAT leadership on various areas, the training ended with the development of an action plan on dissemination, transformation and sustainable cascade strategies for the development of the LAT.
