Ko Ohau tōku Awa - Ohau is my river,

Ko Ngati Pikiao tōku Iwi - Ngati Pikiao is my tribal group,

Ko Te Takinga tōku Marae - Te Takinga is the Meeting house of my people,

Ko Laures Park ahau - I am Laures Park,

Tena tatou katoa – Greetings to you all.

Laures Park is Matua Takawaenga at the New Zealand Educational Institute - Te Riu Roa responsible for all things Māori within this education union.

Laures is also Chair of the Education International Advisory Committee on Indigenous Peoples made up of 12 representatives from around the world.
