Francisco González Mena
Francisco González Mena graduated with a degree in natural sciences from the Escuela Normal Superior (ENS) in the Mexican state of Puebla. He also completed a diploma course on the US political system at the Future Leaders Institute in Washington D.C.
He was General Secretary of Tlaxcala Branch 31 from February 2004 to March 2010. He has served as a representative of the SNTE National Executive Committee at various union branches across the country, giving him a broad understanding of education workers’ needs.
He is currently coordinator of the National Negotiating Committee of the SNTE and, since July 2023, he has been a National Executive Committee representative at SNTE Branch 11 in Mexico City, which brings together education support personnel.
