Transforming The union through digital capacity and female educators’ leadership practice

Description

To develop strong, democratic, and independent teachers’ trade unions able to effectively defend and promote their members’ interests and actively advocate for quality, publicly funded education for all.

Objectives

The project will help GUPT to Embark on a process of self-reflection and transformation of the union structures and organisation, with the union taking ownership of their transformation into a stronger and democratic organism that can adequately represent the membership–in terms of demographics, but also values and priorities.

Activities

  • Providing an eLearning platform for training.
  • Training about the GUPT structure (20 training hours)

Outcomes

Work to increase gender equality and women’s participation at all levels within the GUPT. And start a process of transformation and innovation in order to be truly representative of its diverse membership.

In addition, work to increase gender equality and women’s participation within the participating organizations GUWKPS and PFUUPE.
