I-BEST 2026: the education world comes together on 20 November
One survey, 19 countries and territories, four continents
Education International, MGEN, and the MGEN Foundation for Public Health are preparing to unveil the results of the third edition of the International Barometer of the Health and Well-being of Education Staff (I-BEST), with the support of 33 education unions and organisations worldwide.
Why this survey matters
From early childhood to secondary education, I-BEST is the only international survey that covers not only teachers but all education workers. It documents the health, well-being, and day-to-day experiences of those who keep schools running, across a variety of education systems, contexts, and countries.
Education workers from Argentina, Belgium, Cameroon, Canada, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, France, The Gambia, Mexico, Morocco, Paraguay, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and Zimbabwe took part in this third edition of I-BEST.
New this year
For the first time, the quantitative analysis carried out by the MGEN Foundation for Public Health will be complemented by a qualitative analysis, conducted in partnership with Education Support, adding depth and a more powerful voice to the data.
