Crecimiento sindical

Todo el personal docente y de apoyo educativo tiene derecho a sindicarse y afiliarse a un sindicato que represente y defienda sus valores e intereses. Sin embargo, en todo el mundo, los sindicatos de la educación se enfrentan a graves ataques y trabajan en entornos cada vez más difíciles y hostiles. El camino a seguir pasa por revitalizar los sindicatos, ampliar su poder incrementando la afiliación y la participación activa y maximizar su impacto.

    A peaceful demonstration organized by teachers and students defending quality public education in the Philippines was violently dispersed by law enforcement officers last January 31.     Ethiopia-Three teachers released

    In an email dated 29 October 2007, Gemoraw Kassa, General Secretary of the Ethiopian Teachers' Association(ETA), informed EI that the Ethiopian Federal Supreme Court decided on that day to release on bail detained colleagues Anteneh Getnet, Berhanu Aba-Debissa, Wolde Dana, along with Wibit Ligamo, Dana’s wife.
