Description

This training was designed for 47 secretaries (women) from each of the counties in Kenya, who have been elected based on affirmative action but lack clarity regarding their roles, rights, and responsibilities. This activity aimed to educate these women on their duties, entitlements, and obligations.

Objectifs

The specific objective of the activity is to empower the 47 secretaries of KUPPET by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to develop strategies aimed at attracting more women into the union and fostering their willingness to assume leadership positions within it.

Activités

A 2-day workshop including group work, case studies and presentations.

Résultats

Strengthened competencies of women in leadership roles. It is expected that the management training will act as a driving force for union leadership, motivating the implementation of capacity-building initiatives at multiple tiers within the union
