Today, on Malala Day, 550 Youth Delegates prepare to take over the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York to demand equitable quality education for all.

The National Education Association (NEA), EI’s largest affiliate in the United States, has launched a nationwide campaign to encourage educators to become leaders in a national movement for quality public education.

EI affiliates around the world join the events being coordinated by the offices of the UN Special Envoy on Global Education, Gordon Brown on 12 July, to celebrate Malala Yousafzai’s sixteenth birthday and renew the call for all governments to guarantee equitable quality education for all, especially girls.
