North America and Caribbean Regional Conference trains the spotlight on HIV and AIDS
The EI North America and Caribbean Conference welcomed over 100 delegates from North America and Caribbean Teachers’ Union to Ocho Rios, Jamaica from 22-23 January
At the event, the issues of HIV and AIDS were highlighted as priority areas for union action in a number of presentations. Concern about the spread of the pandemic in the Caribbean region was also raised at a workshop of the Canadian Teachers' Federation (CTF) and the Caribbean Union of Teachers (CUT) held prior to the Regional Conference.
