Liderar la profesión

El personal docente y el personal de apoyo educativo saben lo que funciona en la educación. Deben ser reconocidos y capacitados para poner en práctica la promesa de una educación de calidad para todos y todas.

En las aulas, la libertad académica y la autonomía profesional son requisitos indispensables para una enseñanza y un aprendizaje de calidad. Como profesionales, el profesorado debe tener el espacio y la confianza necesarios para tomar las mejores decisiones posibles para todo el conjunto estudiantil.

Fuera de las aulas, la política educativa debe basarse en la amplia experiencia y los conocimientos que solo los profesionales de la educación pueden aportar. Abogamos por la participación del personal docente, del personal de apoyo educativo y de sus organizaciones representativas en todas las tomas de decisiones en materia de educación, y trabajamos en pro de la ampliación del diálogo político sectorial a todos los niveles y en todos los países.
