Make your voice heard in the post-2015 indicator selection - deadline September 4th

published 27 August 2015 updated 25 September 2015

The global education community is now in the final phase of setting the Global Sustainable Development Goals and Education for All agendas – Education 2030. Civil society has been instrumental in securing an ambitious, rights-based framework for education post-2015.

However, the final indicator selection will be equally important and civil society is again encouraged to participate in the upcoming consultation process.

The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) was tasked to look into the development of indicators for the Education for All process, with a focus on thematic indicators and the UN has now established an Interagency Expert Group for SDG Indicators (IAEG-SDG), to look into the development of global indicators for the SDGs.

In order to participate and to make your voice heard in the consultation regarding the development of thematic and global indicators, it is important that you and your organisations take the time to fill out and return the technical consultation document ( click here to download) by September 4th.

In cooperation with GCE, EI has prepared analyses and recommendations for the global indicators, which can be downloaded here.

GCE has also prepared analyses and recommendations for the thematic indicators, which can be downloaded here.

As background to these consultations, GCE has also prepared a briefing to provide further information and guidance to campaigners wishing to participate in these consultations, which can be downloaded here.

Please send all submissions to Nikola Wachter ( [email protected]) by 5 pm CET on September 4th so that they may be incorporated into the final submission.
