This research project explores and critically analyses climate change education policies and their execution in two South Asian nations that are pronouncedly susceptible to the impacts of climate change, the Philippines and India.

Given the serious climate-related issues that the two countries are facing, it is imperative to understand the extent to which climate education is included in the national curriculum.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how these national curriculum frameworks and educational policies have incorporated climate change education and to what extent they are being implemented in schools. More importantly, this study seeks to map out the role that educational unions play in ensuring quality climate education that is rooted in the principles of climate justice and a just transition.
